Power-Deriva Oy as an investment service company
Power-Deriva consists of Power-Deriva Oy and PD Power Oy. The services governed by the Investment Services Act are provided by Power-Deriva Oy, which holds an authorization granted by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) to offer investment services. The company provides services solely to professional clients as defined in the Investment Services Act.
The company’s owners are Oy Herrfors Ab, Kokkolan Energia Oy, Kymenlaakson Sähkö Oy, Oulun Energia Oy, Pohjois-Karjalan Sähkö Oy, Pori Energia Oy, Savon Voima Oyj, Suur-Savon Sähkö Oy, and Vaasan Sähkö Oy.
Derivative Trading with the Best Practices
We trade electricity derivatives on the Nasdaq Commodities exchange or, when necessary, bilaterally by leveraging our extensive network. In addition, we trade emission allowances and carbon derivatives on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). All derivative trading is conducted on behalf of the client and for the client’s account. We execute the client’s orders in accordance with applicable legislation and the company’s Best Execution Policy.
